Priscilla Salisbury

Soprano Priscilla Salisbury is emerging as a sought-after soloist in the Houston area. She appeared, under the direction of Paul Salamunovich, as a soloist in the Faure Requiem, after winning the Houston Masterworks Young Artist Competition. She has made television appearances as a singer of Spanish popular songs in Puerto Rico on a show called Objetivo Fama, a Spanish-language version of American Idol, where she was recognized for her work by the Mayor of San Juan and the Governor of Puerto Rico.

A native of Mexico, Ms. Salisbury makes her home in Houston, where she has currently received her Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston. She recently performed in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, as the role of Zerlina. Other roles performed at the Moores Opera House include, Cupid in Offenbach’s Orpheus in the Underworld and Carmela in Menotti’s The Saint of Bleeckerstreet. Ms. Salisbury is currently a member of the Houston Grand Opera Chorus and will be performing in Beethoven’s Fidelio in their upcoming season.
