En "Aljibe" estaba ya anunciado todo el equipaje que Manolo Franco llevaría en su vida artística musical: un sonido extraordinario, redondo y flamenquísimo y una técnica rotunda, clara, limpia y depurada. Por soleá, bulerías, alegrías... era ya entonces un fenómeno de musicalidad y creatividad. Basta este álbum para situarlo a la altura de los más importantes compositores de la guitarra flamenca. Estos temas, verdaderos documentos para todo guitarrista flamenco, son desconocidos para las generaciones posteriores debido a que esta grabación no se reeditó y cuyos originales, adormecidos, esperaban ser despertados para asomar de nuevo a los esplendores del flamenco. Esta falta nos privó de conocer un capítulo más que trascendental de la guitarra flamenca, ya que las composiciones que aquí se encuentran, auténticas obras maestras, tan solo podían descubrirse, hasta ahora, en una antigua grabación de TVE. La aparición de estas transcripciones merece el más sonado aplauso pues constituyen un rescate de algo que nos pertenece a todos.
